Get the training and experience that will certify you to teach grades K-6 in the state of Florida.

The Elementary Education K-6 program prepares teacher candidates to teach in elementary schools. The program through its content methods courses, and enhanced field clinical experiences, places special emphasis on diversity through coursework and learning experiences that prepare teacher candidates to work with children with special needs and students whose primary language is not English. Teacher candidates in the program provide enhanced tutoring assistance to students who are English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) at local schools in surrounding districts.

The four-year program supports the university’s core values and connection to the community.
